Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Dr. CAPI uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include pixels, tags, local storage, and server-side event tracking that perform comparable functions. Cookies may be set by us ("first-party") or by third parties whose services we use ("third-party").
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, understand how it is used, remember preferences, and measure and improve our advertising.
3. Types of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core site functionality and security. These cannot be switched off in our systems. | Load balancing, security, consent preferences |
| Analytics / performance | Help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. | Google Analytics (GA4) |
| Advertising / marketing | Measure and optimise our ads and, where permitted, show relevant ads. | Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, Google Ads tags |
Specific cookie names and durations depend on the tools configured on the Site; your cookie banner provides the live list.
4. Meta Pixel & Conversions API
We use the Meta Pixel (browser-side) and Meta Conversions API (server-side) to measure conversions and optimise our Facebook and Instagram advertising. These may collect interaction data and, for the Conversions API, hashed identifiers used to match events to ad interactions. Data may be shared with Meta as described in our Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences.
5. Other third-party services
We may also use tools from providers such as Google (analytics and ads) and embedded services like scheduling Calendly. These providers may set their own cookies. Manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
6. Managing your preferences
- Cookie banner — where required, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies via our consent tool and change your choice at any time.
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
- Ad controls — use Meta and Google ad settings, and industry tools such as Your Online Choices (EU) or the DAA opt-out (US).
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to it, so our Site currently does not respond differently to DNT signals. We honour recognised opt-out preference signals where required by law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or the law change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
